The excitement your dog shows when you come home, the wagging tail at the sound of the leash being taken from its hook, the delight in the tossing of a tennis ball, and the head nestled in your lap, those are only some of the rewards of being a dog owner. Just like children, dogs come into this world filled with love, curiosity and no manners.
Through my years of experience I can honestly say that no two dogs are alike and each dog should be treated as such when going through any type of training. Praise is the key to successful training. Make a habit of praising your dog's good behavior and he'll remember to do it again. If he does something wrong, show him the correct way, then praise him. Your dog will work hard for you, if you show him what makes you happy. At Stevenson Gun Dog and Obedience, my main goal is to insure that by the end of training, you have a happy and obedient pet that you can take home and enjoy to the fullest.
An important part of my training includes the participation of the owner with their dog to ensure your pet responds to you as expected. |
